Members of the Serbian Armed Forces return from the Central African Republic



Members of the contingent of the Serbian Armed Forces that had spent past six months engaged in medical care of staff in the UN mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) arrived tonight at the Nikola Tesla Belgrade Airport.

The Serbian peacekeepers were welcomed by NenadNeric, State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence and Lieutenant General JovicaDraganic, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, to whomColonel Nikola Dejanovic, Serbian Contingent Commander, reported that the members of the third rotation in the MINUSCA mission had successfully completed all the tasks.

Welcomingthe incoming peacekeepers, General Draganic said that during their engagement within the UN forces, they demonstrated a high level of competence and professionalism, representing the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Armed Forces in the best way in a multinational environment. He also expressed hope that they will successfully apply the knowledge and experience they have gained in the mission in their future work.

Early this morning, members of the fourth rotation of the Serbian Armed Forcesleft for Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, to spend the next six months engaged in the UN mission in that African country.
