Evening of film music in Smederevo



Stanislav Binicki Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, with guests, performed a spectacular concert of film music in the full hall of the Smederevo Centre for Culture last night where the visitors had the opportunity to hear the melodies and arias that marked a time and careers of many artists.

Drama artists Ana Sofrenovic and Nebojsa Dugalic, hosts of the evening organized under the auspices of the city of Smederevo and with the support of the Ministry of Defence, led attendees on a kind of journey through time in which, starting from the legendary music from the movie "Valter defends Sarajevo" through memorable domestic and foreign compositions, they felt the atmosphere of the legendary films and songs that marked them.

Under the baton of Vojkan Borisaljevic, in addition to the hosts, Beti Djordjevic, Jadranka Jovanovic, Dejan Cukic, Mina Lazarevic, Ivana Knezevic, Mirjana Stojanovic, Igor Pervic, Slobodan Stefanovic, Dragan Vujic Vujke and Dusica Novakovic sang to the merry audience.

Unforgettable songs lined up: Little Girl, Hello, New York New York, Beautiful Maria, Mambo Italiano, Floyd, Tell Me Why Have You Left Me, and others, to end up, as a kind of crescendo, with the last two songs at the concert - Jovano Jovanke and Djurdjevdan, played together by Stanislav Binicki Artistic ensemble and the Brass band of the Macedonian Army, which presented itself to Smederevo audience a day earlier.

The delighted audience gave its contribution to the singing, showing how much they appreciate the fact that Smederevo was the city that hosted the concert which symbolically marked the emergence of the first musical film, Jazz Singer,in New Yorkin July 1926.
