Title



On the eve of the Serbian Armed Forces Day, a friendly football match has been played today between officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Hungarian Armed Forces. The match in the Sports Centre of the Serbian Football Association in Stara Pazova was organized by the Department for Operations and the Department for Training and Doctrine of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.

The sporting competition between the two teams that ended in a goal for the Serbian Armed Forces with a score 4: 3, was viewed by representatives of the Crvena Zvezda Football Club – Vladica Popovic, Jovan Kule Acimovic and Vladimir Petrovic Pizon.

Coach of the team of the Serbian Armed Forces, Chief of Operations Major General Vojin C. Jondic, after the played match, presented the three judges and a member of the Hungarian Armed Forces team who scored the first goal with the coins of the Serbian Armed Forces. Also, general Jondic conferred a Letter of Gratitude to the Director of the Sports Centre of the Serbian Football Association Sasa Markovic.

Captains of both teams were presented cups by Vladimir Petrovic, who then handed a cup also to the best player of the match, Lieutenant Colonel Gabor Handji from the team of the Hungarian Armed Forces.

The team of the Serbian Armed Forces participated in the football tournament in the capital of Hungary, in December 2015, and today's meeting was a rematch.
