Visit to the East Mojstir base
Members of the First Army Brigade are deployed in securing the administrative line and controlling the ground safety zone in the Section North and they perform that task continuously, regardless of the New Year's holidays.On the first day of 2016, our troops were traditionally visited by Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic accompanied by Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, Chief of Operative Business Department of the General Staff Major General Vojin C Jondic and Commander of the First Army Brigade Brigadier General Zeljko Petrovic.
This year, Minister visited the East Mojstir base, one of the eight located in the Section North, near the eponymous Serbian village in the municipality of Tutin, at an altitude of 1120 meters. This is one of the many bases in which SAF members are deployed, who, together with members of the Ministry of Interior, secure the administrative line with Kosovo.
Commander of the Section Major Vladan Kolaric says that the East Mojstir base is specific because it is singled out from all the other ones and is located on the extreme right wing of the Section North. Base Commander is Major Milan Grkovic.
Defence Minister wished the members of the Base a happy New Year and successful work.
