SAF member wins Best Warrior Competition in USA

Corporal Nikola Ivković, a member of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, took first place in the soldier category at the Ohio National Guard Best Warrior Competition held last week at Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center in the United States of America.
Soldiers and non-commissioned officers from the Ohio National Guard, Hungarian Defence Forces and Serbian Armed Forces participated in the competition. Serbian competitors took first and fourth places in the soldier category and the fifth and eighth places in the non-commissioned officer category.

Soldiers competed in events that tested their physical and mental abilities, technical and tactical skills, including shooting under stress and performing other fire missions, loaded swimming and marching, artillery fire guidance and giving first aid.

By putting in an excellent performance at the competition, members of the Serbian Armed Forces have once again demonstrated their military virtues and professionalism, as well as dedication, persistence, and great discipline in carrying out their tasks.
This is the third time members of the Serbian Armed Forces have participated in the Best Warrior Competition in the USA achieving great results each time.

This is only one in a series of activities carried out jointly by the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard under the State Partnership Program, which aims to enhance operational capabilities, build confidence and strengthen the overall relations between Serbia and the USA.
