Minister Gašić presents appointment decrees
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić presented today decrees issued by the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, appointing SAF officers to new duties. The ceremony was attended by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
Colonel Stanisav Mijailović has been appointed as Head of the Development and Equipment Department (J-5), General Staff, and Colonel Aleksandar Stupar as Commander of the 63rd Parachute Brigade.
The Minister of Defence congratulated the officers and thanked them for showing professionalism, dedication and hard work throughout their military careers and emphasized that today, in addition to new appointments, they are being given greater responsibility. Being at the head of the Department responsible for the development and provision of weapons and military equipment and the elite 63rd Parachute Brigade brings with it a special honour and obligation, he said and expressed his confidence that Colonel Mijailović and Colonel Stupar will contribute with their dedication and hard work to the enhancement of the Serbian Armed Forces’ capabilities. Expressing his gratitude for the results the two officers have achieved so far, Minister Gašić wished them much happiness and success in their future careers.
Colonel Stanisav Mijailović was born on September 13, 1971 in Leposavić. His professional military career started in 1994. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1994, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2012, and the General Staff Course in 2017. Until now, he was Deputy Head of Office of the Chief of the General Staff.
Colonel Aleksandar Stupar was born on November 18, 1980 in Ruma. His professional military career started in 2004. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2004, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2021, and the General Staff Course in 2023. He served as Deputy Commander of the 63rd Parachute Brigade.
