Kobre deliver excellent performance at UAE SWAT Challenge
Special Purpose MP Detachment “Kobre” team put in an excellent performance at the SWAT Challenge, which was held in the United Arab Emirates between February 1 and 4, 2025.
At the competition that included 103 teams from 46 countries, members of the Serbian Armed Forces took 20th place, demonstrating top tactical and marksmanship skills, great team work, concentration and physical and mental stamina.The teams competed in five events, solving tactical tasks under different scenarios, using weapons and tactical equipment. The competition also included rescuing hostages, shooting with different types of weapons and doing a specially designed obstacle course.
Anti-terrorism police teams and tactical hostage rescue units, as well as Special Ops military teams, took part in this prestigious competition. In addition to Kobre, the Serbian national team included members of the Gendarmerie and the Ministry of the Interior Special Anti-Terrorist Unit.
The international UAE SWAT Challenge, hosted by the Dubai Police, has been held since 2019. This sporting event is a unique platform for elite military and police units to demonstrate their skills, exchange ideas and promote cooperation, understanding and best practices among each other. Members of the Special Purpose MP Detachment "Kobre" have competed in the UAE SWAT Challenge three times, in 2020, 2024 and this year.
