President Vučić attends annual briefing on situation and capabilities of Serbian Armed Forces in 2024
The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, attended today a meeting summarizing the annual review of the situation and operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces in 2024, which was held at the Guard Club in Topčider.

- We have discussed global security threats and challenges. I have also stressed the importance of international cooperation and participation in peacekeeping missions since it additionally contributes to strengthening our capabilities and reputation. The military is the pillar of our security and the pride of our country. We continue to modernize and develop our military, to invest in its equipment and people, because a strong military means a peaceful and safe future for Serbia - wrote President Vučić in his Instagram post.

Appreciation was expressed to the President of the Republic and the Serbian government for providing firm support for the strengthening of the Serbian Armed Forces, and it was emphasized that, over the past year, the capabilities of active-duty and reserve components, as well as the combat readiness of SAF units, have been improved, that the process of supplying them with new equipment has continued, and that all planned and extraordinary tasks have been completely fulfilled.
