Competitions for admission to tank, mechanized and artillery units launched
The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces launched today competitions for the admission of new recruits to the tank, mechanized and artillery units of the Serbian Army.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia under 30 years old, who love military profession, can apply until February 15 and get the chance to obtain a secure and high paying job, with early retirement benefits, military health insurance for themselves and their family members and opportunities for continuous professional development and career advancement.New recruits admitted to all units will work on modernized technology – tanks, armoured transporters and artillery systems that have entered service in the Serbian Armed Forces in the past period. They will also get the chance to develop team spirit and constantly improve their physical and mental abilities.
Future professional soldiers will serve exclusively in the units and garrisons they have applied for.Young men and women can apply for the First, Second, Third and Fourth Army Brigades and the Mixed Artillery Brigade, and their duty stations will be in Sremska Mitrovica, Bačka Topola, Kraljevo, Valjevo, Novi Pazar, Niš, Kuršumlija, Prokuplje and Vranje.
We are offering various job profiles including tank drivers and gunners, deputy commanders, infantry fighting vehicle operators/gunners and drivers, and various modern artillery systems drivers, gunners, calculations specialists and operators. Candidates who meet the general and specific eligibility requirements will undergo medical, psychophysical and security checks.
Candidates who have not completed military service under arms can apply for the competition, too. However, before they apply, they must report to the competent regional centre of the Ministry of Defence to be registered in the military records and sent to do military service.Selected candidates will be admitted to professional military service for a fixed period of six months, with the possibility of extending their employment contract for a period of up to three years and its subsequent renewal.
