Minister Gašić attends Defence Attachés’ Conference
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić attended the 11th Conference of Defence Attachés of the Republic of Serbia, held at the Guard Club in Topčider today.
In his address to the audience, Minister Gašić said that by engaging in international military cooperation, “we continue to improve our operational capabilities, knowledge and skills and strengthen the reputation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. According to him, we remain open to regional cooperation and cooperation with partners from other countries, all the while remaining committed to the military neutrality of the Republic of Serbia, and the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will remain committed to the preservation of peace and stability, to building trust with neighbours in the region and to our EU accession prospects.
The audience was also addressed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić, who spoke about the importance and role of attachés and foreign policy priorities, and the director of the Military Intelligence Agency, Major General Zoran Stojković, who spoke about the importance of the conference.
Some of the topics discussed at the conference were political and security situation in the region and the world and the contribution to strengthening the reputation of Serbia and its defence system.
Members of the Defence Minister’s Collegium attended the conference.
This is a traditional meeting format for defence attaches and an opportunity to analyse the results of their work and to give them guidelines for further work.
