Minister of Defence meets with director of RACVIAC
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić met with the director of the Centre for Security Cooperation – RACVIAC, Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, in Belgrade today.
The topic of the meeting was the cooperation with the Centre for Security Cooperation, of which Serbia has been permanent member since the establishment of this international organization.
Minister Gašić underlined Serbia's commitment to enhancing cooperation with key international organizations in the field of security and defence, as well as its active participation in all relevant regional forums for cooperation.
He pointed out the complexity of the security situation, which has additionally elevated the importance of multilateral forums for cooperation, and emphasized Serbia’s appreciation for RACVIAC’s contribution in that respect.
During the meeting, Minister Gašić underlined that Serbia's priorities regarding regional cooperation are, first and foremost, the preservation of peace and security, but also the protection of national interests when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija.
According to Minister Gašić, Serbia, as a United Nations member state, but also as a member of RACVIAC and numerous key international organizations and initiatives, deems it necessary to adhere to the established principles, agreements, and norms of the international law.
The director of RACVIAC thanked Minister Gašić for the opportunity to meet and talk, emphasizing the importance of the development of regional cooperation and effective functioning of the Centre for Security Cooperation - RACVIAC.
