Meeting with JFC Naples Commander

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, met today in Belgrade with the Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naples and US Naval Forces Europe-Africa, Admiral Stuart Munsch.
The meeting discussed the current security situation in the region and the world, particularly in Kosovo and Metohija, the results of cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and JFC Naples and the possibilities for its further advancement, particularly in the fields of training, education, and joint exercises.

During the conversation, the cooperation was assessed as professional, constructive and important for preserving peace and stability in the region. It was also concluded that the Serbian Armed Forces were a credible and reliable partner. Both sides expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, while respecting the military neutrality of the Republic of Serbia, and concluded that the established mechanisms ensured that.
Referring to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the Chief of the General Staff noted that the “unilateral moves by the provisional institutions of self-government in Priština, which threaten the security of the Serbian people, pose the biggest security threat”, and added that, “in accordance with Resolution 1244 and the Military Technical Agreement, the Republic of Serbia considers Kfor as the sole legitimate armed formation in Kosovo and Metohija”.
Admiral Munsch, who is visiting our country to attend a ceremony where the outgoing Chief of NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade will hand over to his successor, was received earlier today by the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić.
