Crews using modern artillery systems conduct regular training

Professional members of the artillery battalion, 1st Army Brigade, equipped with modernized M-17 Oganj self-propelled multiple rocket launchers, are conducting regular training at the Serbian Armed Forces training areas.
The training aims to maintain and improve the unit members’ skill in using this modern artillery system in combat, providing more accurate and effective fire support to units in SAF operations.

As part of the training programme, the professional soldiers are honing their skills in conducting firing preparations and fire missions. The focus is on the use of digitized command systems, which ensure faster decision-making and higher accuracy and rate of fire.

After this, the crews will undergo more complex field training and firing practice, where they will have the chance to demonstrate their tactical and firearms skills needed for carrying out tasks in combat operations, utilizing new technology to provide artillery support.
This type of training is crucial for maintaining units’ ability to conduct combat missions in all terrain, tactical and weather conditions.

The 128 mm M-17 Oganj self-propelled multiple rocket launcher is a modern artillery system that delivers sudden and concentrated artillery fire against big targets. Its introduction into the armament of the Serbian Armed Forces has significantly improved the artillery’s ability to provide reliable, fast and accurate support.
