Stationary Camping of Soldiers on Military Service



At the Pasuljanske Livade Military Complex, a stationary camping has been carried out this week for soldiers on voluntary military service of the September 2024 intake who are undergoing training at the Army Training Centre.
During this form of practical training, soldiers went through tactical training contents tailored to field conditions, acquiring knowledge and skills needed to perform defensive and offensive combat tasks.
 
The focus was on practicing continuously the tactics and procedures, executing scheduled firing using branch-specific weapons and doing a 10 km conditioning march.
 
Through numerous practical activities, including terrain reconnaissance, actions by sniper pairs and a firing squad, gun emplacement and firing, in accordance with the specialties for which they were recruited, the soldiers prepared for SAF units they will be sent to in order to undergo collective training during the second period of training.
 Commander of the Army Training Centre Colonel Duško Jović has said that training is a key factor in developing soldiers.
 
- The Army Training Centre is a Training Command unit intended for individual specialist training, primarily for soldiers on military service. The Centre trains 54 Army specialties and its goal is for trainees to be able currently trains reconnaissance units and military policemen within the infantry branch, as well as artillerymen, engineers and armoured soldiers to perform all tasks in battle individually and independently – Colonel Jović emphasized.
 
Commander of the camp area and Deputy Commander of the Training Battalion Major Mladen Vučeljić has pointed out that stationary camp is an important segment of individual training, adding that the Training Battalion
 
- Field training of soldiers on voluntary military service aims to familiarize them with the organisation of soldiers’ life and work and the unit itself, including staying under tents, dealing with food issues in field conditions, training, and the crown of all that they have learned recently is the execution of live firing using collective weapons - said Major Vučeljić.
Private Miloš Ristić points out that the impressions from the first stationary camp are positive and that he is satisfied with the fulfillment of the set tasks.
 
- It is very demanding to train on the Pasuljanske Livade because of the conditions and terrain where we are, but with good officers and NCOs, we fulfill every assignment quickly and efficiently, Private Ristić said.
 
After stationary camping, the soldiers of the September 2024 class are supposed to undergo a skills assessment, after which they will be sent to SAF units for collective training.
 
The soldiers undergoing training were visited by Commander of the Training Command Major General Zoran Nasković, who witnessed a well-organized stationary camp, high-quality training and great commitment of soldiers on voluntary military service.
