Day of 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade

A military ceremony has been held at the “Banjica” barracks in Belgrade today on the occasion of the Day of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade, commemorating 24th November 1962, when the 250th Air Defence Missile Regiment was formed.
On the occasion of the holiday, a parade of Brigade units and a static display of arms and military equipment were organised and key achievements in building operational capabilities were highlighted, while awards were presented to the best individuals and wreaths laid at the barracks’ memorial, where this unit preserves the memory of those killed in NATO aggression in 1999.

While reviewing the achieved results and rich history of the 250th Missile Brigade, it has been pointed out that the unit members successfully completed all tasks in the year behind and that continued acquisitions and intensive training of individuals and units significantly improved abilities of this component, which is responsible for firepower in the air defence system.
The ceremony has been attended by Air Force and Air Defence Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, families of the fallen Brigade members and former members of the unit, as well as representatives of the MOD and Serbian Armed Forces, local government bodies and numerous guests.
