Presidents Vučić, Tokayev visit weapons-military equipment display at military airfield in Batajnica
The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, visited today the display of weapons and military equipment at the military airfield Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović in Batajnica.
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, Kazakh Minister of Defence Col. Gen. Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Kazakh Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, were also in attendance at the Batajnica airfield.
On that occasion, Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, PhD, presented the displayed weapons and military equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces and the assets that are being developed by the domestic defence industry.
The assets displayed at the military airfield included the modernized M-84 AS2 tank, the modernized BVP M-80AB1/2 combat vehicle, Lazar-3, Lazanski and Miloš-M armoured fighting vehicles, as well as different variants of the PASARS air defence system.
In addition to the abovementioned assets, the display included the modernized 122mm Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, modular Oganj, Morava and Nora M21, Šumadija, and the Soko self-propelled howitzer.
At the airport apron, Orao and Lasta planes could be seen, as well as Mi-17, H-145 and Gama helicopters.
The officials were presented with UAVs, including the Pegaz (Pegasus), Vrabac (sparrow), Osica (wasp) and Komarac (mosquito) killer drones, as well as the remotely piloted Mali Miloš (Little Milos) unmanned platform.
Small arms, ammunition, camouflage kits, uniforms and ballistic equipment produced by companies belonging to the domestic defence industry were also showcased.
Air Force and Air Defence Commander Lt. Gen. Duško Žarković, Head of Office of the Minister of Defence Brig. Gen. Goran Momčilović and Head of the Defence Technology Department Brig. Gen. Slavko Rakić were also in attendance at the display.
