South East Europe Defence Ministerial – SEDM meeting



A delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, led by the Acting Assistant Minister of Defence for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić, participated in the meeting of the South East European Defence Ministerial – SEDM in Tirana.

The meeting discussed the future of the SEDM Process, as well as the impact of current armed conflicts on regional security.
 
Within the framework of the SEDM Process, Serbia has taken on the role of the lead nation within the project on Female Leaders in Security and Defence (FLSD). On this occasion, hosting of the international conference “Female Leaders in Security and Defence: results and next steps” in Belgrade was announced.
The SEDM process is currently chaired by Romania, and in addition to Serbia and the host country, the member states are the United States of America, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Albania, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Georgia, and Moldova.
