New SAF Team in EU Mission in Central African Republic

Regular rotation of the Serbian Armed Forces’ contingents deployed with the European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM-RCA), took place last week in the Moana camp in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic.
Since their arrival in the mission area in April 2024, the previous contingent, consisting of a staff officer serving as Head of the Medical Service at the mission headquarters and a six-member medical team performed all the tasks assigned to them by the mission headquarters successfully and presented the professionalism and competence of the SAF medical personnel in the best possible way.

Over the next six months, a new Serbian team will continue to perform their tasks in line with the mission’s mandate, providing medical support to the mission and primary health care to international peacekeepers.

The Serbian Armed Forces started contributing troops to EUTM-RCA in 2016, and, so far, more than 160 doctors and medical technicians have served in this mission as part of the medical team or at the mission headquarters.
