Professional training for authorized personnel of defence planning bodies

Professional training for authorized personnel of the bodies responsible for defence planning, organized by the Defence Obligations Department of the Human Resources Sector, started today at the Guard Club in Topčider.
The aim of the training is to help the personnel in charge of organizing, planning and carrying out defence preparations within the defence planning bodies to gain new and expand existing theoretical and practical knowledge. In this way, the trainees are preparing for the practical application of laws and bylaws pertaining to the defence preparations planning.

In his address, Assistant Minister of Defence for Human Resources Siniša Radović emphasized that the provision of professional training to authorized personnel was an essential prerequisite for successful defence planning.
- Modern security challenges and threats are not only military in nature, so all bodies responsible for defence planning, including government bodies, local self-government units, large technical systems, businesses and citizens themselves, must prepare adequately and properly for successful functioning in a state of emergency or war, and for defending all the values of the Republic of Serbia. In modern warfare, a military response is only part of effective defence of the Republic of Serbia and protection of its national interests - said Assistant Minister Radović.

According to him, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are the organizations most responsible for this task and that the state can respond to all challenges by involving all institutions, bodies, organizations and local self-governments.

- Defence preparations are a joint task of the Ministry of Defence and all defence planning bodies. The training of authorized personnel from the defence planning bodies, which the Defence Obligations Department is organizing for the third time, has proven to be a good model for acquiring new knowledge and consolidating the existing one in this field. We expect that, after obtaining new information and concrete knowledge in this training course, the defence planning bodies that have not harmonized or fully prepared their defence plans yet, will be able to prepare them in the shortest time possible, i.e. update them so that they are in line with the Defence Plan of the Republic of Serbia and ready for implementation in a state of emergency or war. The Human Resources Sector is open for collaboration and willing to provide you with professional assistance in solving any problems you might face while preparing your planning documents - said Assistant Minister Radović.
General and specialized training is delivered by expert lecturers from the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.
