Military holidays celebrated
Official ceremonies to mark the Mixed Artillery Brigade Day, the Artillery Day and the Military Police Day have been held at the commands and units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
During the military ceremonies, messages of congratulation were read, past year’s work results were summarized, and recognitions and awards were presented to deserving individuals.The overview of the results achieved highlighted that the members of artillery and military police units had successfully carried out all tasks assigned to them, that the provision of modern weapons and military equipment had continued and that individual and collective training had been improved.
The Artillery Day and the Mixed Artillery Brigade Day honour September 14, 1918, when the artillery started its preparation for the Salonika Front breakthrough.
The Military Police Day commemorates September 14, 1955, when the military police was formed in the Yugoslav People’s Army.
