President of France Emmanuel Macron's visit to Serbia



Today, the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, welcomed the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, who is on an official visit to our country. The welcoming ceremony was held outside the Palace of Serbia with full state and military honours.
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić was in attendance at the official welcoming ceremony for President Macron.

To honour the President of France, national anthems of Serbia and France were played, a guard of honour was provided by the Honour Guard Battalion and a 10-round gun salute was fired from 10 artillery weapons.
After the meeting between presidents Vučić and Macron, a ceremony to exchange bilateral documents signed by Serbia and France will be held in the presence of the two presidents.

Earlier today, an on-duty fighter aviation unit of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence escorted President Macron’s plane on MiG-29 fighter jets as it entered Serbia’s airspace.
