Meeting between Chief of Serbian Armed Force General Staff, KFOR Commander
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, spoke with the Commander of KFOR, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, in Belgrade today.
This was a regular high-level meeting, which discussed the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR in carrying out their mutual task of creating a safe and secure environment in the Province.
They also talked about the activities undertaken by the Serbian Armed Forces and the international force in the Province with a view to monitoring the situation on the ground, preventing crises and effectively responding to any potential security threats.
Considering that the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija is unstable and sensitive, the two officials agreed that it was necessary to maintain good cooperation and direct communication at all levels.
As noted by General Mojsilović, the Serbian Armed Forces view KFOR as the only legitimate security actor in the Province, which, as such, is obliged to act professionally and impartially and protect the Serbian people and heritage in Kosovo and Metohija, in accordance with the Military-Technical Agreement.
