Flight training in fighter aviation squadron

Members of the fighter aviation squadron of the 204th Air Brigade are doing regular flight training on MiG-29 aircraft at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović military airfield in Batajnica and in the greater Belgrade area.
The training aims to improve the pilots’ and aircraft technicians’ ability to perform airspace control and protection tasks and to maintain a high level of combat readiness of the unit.

In accordance with the training programme, pilots are currently practicing tactical and air interception procedures at different altitudes in favourable and complex weather conditions, in the daytime and at night.

Flying activities are carried out in coordination with fighter controllers from the 126th Air Surveillance, Early Warning and Guidance Brigade, which ensures the perfect functioning of all components that constitute the permanently deployed airspace control and protection forces.
The squadron’s aircraft technicians, who play a crucial role in keeping the aircraft airworthy, are actively involved in the training as well.

Members of the fighter aviation squadron based at the military airport in Batajnica are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are ready, in coordination with other units of the Serbian Armed Forces, to respond to any threat in the shortest possible time and protect the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
