Minister Gašić meets with Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Africa General Hecker



Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić met today with the Commander of NATO Allied Air Command and Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa, General James Hecker, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia. The topics of discussion at the meeting were regional security and cooperation between the Serbian and the U.S. Armed Forces.
  At the meeting, Minister Gašić said that Serbia is a reliable partner in preserving regional stability and security and that it is determined to continue strengthening cooperation with the USA in all areas of mutual interest in order to strengthen the capabilities and interoperability of the Serbian Armed Forces.
 
According to General Hecker, there is room for closer cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the U.S. Armed Forces and, in addition to the active bilateral cooperation between our two countries, another important aspect is providing support for multinational peacekeeping operations.
