President Vučić meets with General James Hecker
The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, met today with the Commander, NATO Allied Air Command; Commander, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and U.S. Air Forces Africa, General James B. Hecker.
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Gen. Milan Mojsilović, attended the meeting.
President Vučić said that he had had a good conversation with General Hecker, and that they had discussed the security situation in the country and the region, especially in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as broad aspects of Serbia’s partnership and cooperation with the NATO Allied Air Command and the U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa.
- I have once again expressed my gratitude to KFOR, which is the guarantor of the peace and security of our people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as my satisfaction at the mutual trust and good cooperation, which is being strengthened all the while respecting Serbia’s military neutrality. We have also talked about strengthening the bilateral defence cooperation between Serbia and the USA, which helps strengthen our defence capabilities, preserve peace and stability, and improve the overall bilateral relations between the two countries - President Vučić wrote on Instagram.
