Minister Gašić visits Special Purpose MP Detachment “Kobre”
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited today the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre” in Vasa Čarapić Barracks in Belgrade.

After the meeting and a conversation with the unit members, Minister Gašić said that he was confident about the unit members’ professionalism and competence. Since the unit was formed 46 years ago, “Kobre” members have excellently performed every task assigned to them, regardless of its complexity and the risk involved, he said.
- Being a member of this detachment is a matter of prestige. Their service, sacrifice and top-notch training have earned them the epithet of an elite unit of our armed forces. We will continue to equip the unit with state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment and invest in their training - said Minister Gašić.

- For that very reason, staffing our special units with new top-quality recruits remains one of our priority tasks. At the moment, there is an open competition for the admission of candidates to the Kobre Detachment and the 72nd Special Operations Brigade. It is a chance for everyone who wants to prove their skills and become part of our elite units. I would like to take this opportunity to invite brave young men and women who love Serbia, who care about the strength of body and mind, who dream of becoming a member of the Serbian Special Forces, to apply - Minister Gašić said.
According to him, efforts to improve the financial status of Special Forces and other members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will continue in upcoming period, because they deserve it for all their hard work and readiness to defend our country and people.

Colonel Đošić presented Minister Gašić with a parade dagger as a keepsake of his visit to the Kobre Detachment.
Minister Gašić was accompanied on his visit to “Kobre” by the Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Goran Momčilović, and the Head of the Military Police Department, General Staff, Brigadier General Milan Lazić.
