“Tara Safari“: Nature and adventure with Military Establishment “Tara”
This year Military Establishment "Tara" continues to offer a variety of services to tourists in its resorts, including numerous facilities for children and adults. For the third consecutive year, the military establishment offers "Tara Safari" day trips, a unique experience for all lovers of active holidays.
The trip is distinctive for its authenticity and appeal and it offers everyone the opportunity to get to know numerous viewpoints and hidden areas that are difficult to reach without a guide. It is a combination of riding in TAM 110 and TAM 150 military trucks and walking in the mountains."Tara Safari" is an excellent way to get to know the hidden beauties of the most welcoming Serbian mountain, as confirmed by Lazar Lazarević from the Military Establishment "Tara".
- The Three Secret Viewpoints Tour includes the most famous viewpoints such as Sokolac, Osluša and Oštra Stena. The project was conceived in such a way as to give guests the opportunity to visit the places, accompanied by our experienced tour guides, that they would not be able to visit on their own. Another interesting safari is the "Mini Safari", which includes a hike to Lake Jarevac and a short ride in military trucks to the Borovo Brdo area, where lunch is served in nature - Lazarević said, stressing that lunch is cooked by their experienced chefs on the spot, in nature, using a military mobile field kitchen, which is a unique experience that only "Tara Safari" offers in Serbia.
According to him, during the summer season, "Tara" organizes a number of other trips, both for hotel guests and other tourists, driven by a desire to motivate visitors to spend as much time as possible in nature, enjoying the fresh air and recreation in Tara’s beautiful nature.Minibus tours are organized to visit famous localities in western Serbia, and Omorika Hotel features a number of sports fields.
- We offer tours of Mitrovac and Bajina Bašta, we take our guests to see the popular house on the Drina, the Rača Monastery, and I would recommend that all visitors to Tara, regardless of whether they are staying in our facilities, apply and get to know these beautiful landscapes with us – Lazarević said.
Speaking about hotels "Omorika" and "Beli Bor", the guesthouse "Javor" and the national restaurants "Javor" and "Jeremičak", he says that their offer has continued to improve this season, as in previous years.

The chef at the national cuisine restaurant "Javor", Igor Jakić, has presented some of the food on the menu for guests who sign up for the "Tara Safari" trip and all other restaurant guests.- On the "Tara Safari" trip, our menu includes traditional sour cabbage, “army beans”, roasted pork ribs, new potatoes, homemade bread baked in the oven, all cooked in the traditional way, but in slightly different, unique circumstances. Our restaurants are famous for their signature dishes "tarski opanak" and "tarska šubara" and homemade pies made in the traditional way. We do our best to get all foodstuffs from western Serbia - said Jakić and told everyone not to miss the offer of the Military Establishment “Tara” and the benefits that this beautiful mountain provides.
