New competition for admission to Special Forces launched



The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces launched today a competition for the admission of new recruits to the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and the Special Purpose MP Detachment “Kobre”.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia under 30 years of age, who wish to demonstrate their sense of responsibility, readiness, courage and patriotism, can submit their applications for admission to the abovementioned special units of the Serbian Armed Forces until July 31, 2024. Candidates who meet general and specific eligibility requirements will undergo necessary medical examinations and psychological assessments, followed by physical fitness tests.

The candidates who fulfil rigorous medical, psychological and security criteria will undergo selective training, which consists of multiple elimination phases.  The best candidates will get the chance to join the professional military service for a six-month period, with the possibility of extending their employment contract for up to three additional years and renewing it once it expires.
Those who become part of the elite units of the Serbian Armed Forces will undergo continuous training and professional development, and will be working with state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment.

Candidates who have not completed training under arms can also apply. However, they will have to complete the basic military training before embarking on the selective training.
