Soldiers performing military service undergo skills assessment
An assessment of basic individual skills of soldiers whose voluntary military service began in March was carried out at the Serbian Armed Forces training centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac this week.
This was their first assessment, carried out to assess the soldiers’ ability to carry out tactical missions and procedures on the battlefield on their own, to use weapons and military equipment and perform interior guard and security services.
During the assessment, the soldiers carried out various tactical tasks applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the first training stage. Their results indicate that they have fully mastered the training content and that the training was well planned and executed.
The soldiers will soon be transferred to specialized training centres, where they will receive training for their assigned military occupational specialties, followed by collective training and active involvement in the life and work of SAF units until the end of their military service.
At the same time, SAF troops participating in Joint Tactical Exercise Whirlwind 2024 continue carrying out intensive training activities at the permanent and provisional military training areas.
In accordance with their purpose and assigned tasks, commands and units practice the planning and execution of crisis response operations on land, in the air and on inland waterways.
The participating units took to the field at the beginning of the week, and the most complex activity will be carried out at the provisional training area "Pešter" on Friday, April 19, when the joint SAF forces will demonstrate their ability to carry out an offensive operation.
