Visit to SAF Guard
Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lt. Gen. Želimir Glišović visited Guard units in Belgrade’s “Dedinje” barracks today.
Accompanied by the Guard Commander, Col. Vladimir Vukajlović, he inspected the state of affairs and the execution of principal tasks in this Serbian Armed Forces unit, which, in addition to performing ceremonial duties for which it is widely recognized by the general public, is also responsible for protecting vital facilities in the defence system. 
During the tour, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff was able to witness the guardsmen’s competence for performing unit-specific tasks and visit the weapons and military equipment display. He was also shown luxurious classic vehicles that were used to transport numerous foreign statesmen and that are now kept in this SAF unit.
