Collective training in CBRN unit
Members of the 246th CBRN Battalion are currently undergoing training in performing decontamination following incidents involving weapons of mass destruction. The training is being conducted in the “Car Lazar” barracks and “Ravnjak” Military Complex in Kruševac.
This is part of collective winter training for professional members, and all battalion members need to go through it in order to prepare for carrying out CBRN tasks in the Serbian Armed Forces units.
During this training phase, which is carried out on the training ground, unit members are practicing actions and procedures for the decontamination of people, facilities, soil and materiel.
During the training process, insulating equipment is being used that ensures complete protection of personnel while working with contaminants and means of detection, dosimetry and decontamination, the most important being the modern domestically produced multi-functional mobile decontamination platform - MPD-09.
Thanks to continuous training, members of the 246th CBRN Battalion achieve a high degree of skill in performing CBRN tasks in all three missions of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as preparedness for rapid response whenever the circumstances call for it.
