Bilateral defence consultation with Republic of Cyprus



A Cypriot National Guard delegation, led by the head of Sector D for International Relations and Defence Planning, Colonel Alkiviadis Alkiviadis, has paid a three-day visit to Belgrade to to hold a bilateral defence consultation.
The Cypriot delegation was received by the Head of the International Military Cooperation Department, Defence Policy Sector MOD, Colonel Nebojša Svjetlica.

During the meeting, the two countries’ delegations considered ways to further improve bilateral military cooperation and agreed that the existing cooperation in the field of defence was very active, and that it would be mutually beneficial to enhance it further.

As part of the visit, the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2024 was signed.
The Cypriot delegation visited the Defence University, where a presentation of this educational institution’s facilities was held.
The bilateral defence consultation is a continuation of successful cooperation, which helps strengthen the overall relationship between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Cyprus
