Soldiers’ degree of training tested
The individual specialized skills of the youngest soldiers performing voluntary military service are being assessed this week at the SAF Training Centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac.
The purpose of the assessment, the first one for soldiers whose military service started in December 2023, is to determine whether the soldiers are capable of carrying out tactical actions and procedures on the battlefield independently, properly using weapons and military equipment and performing guard duties. On the first assessment day, soldiers fulfil tactical tasks, and the second day is reserved for the assessment of their proficiency in using weapons and military equipment, as well as their knowledge of drill commands and service regulations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Once their assessment is completed, the soldiers will be transferred to specialized training centres, where they will receive training for their particular military occupational specialties, and then assigned to the Serbian Armed Forces units, where they will spend the remainder of their military service doing collective training.
