Minister Vučević meets with Ambassador of Tunisia Amari
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Serbia, Imen Lazhili Amari.
Minister Vučević said that the cooperation between the two countries was good and that there was potential for strengthening defence cooperation, which would contribute to the improvement of overall relations between Serbia and Tunisia.
He thanked the Republic of Tunisia for its principled and unchanging stance against the recognition of the so-called "Kosovo’s" unilaterally declared independence, as well as for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
According to the Minister of Defence, Serbia advocates for the preservation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all United Nations member states, as well as for the consistent observance of international law, the preservation of peace and stability, and the development of good relations with other countries based on equality and mutual respect.
Ambassador Amari said that the traditionally friendly relationship between the two countries was a sound basis for the development of defence cooperation.
She said that there was room for establishing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, and expressed her hope that during her term in Serbia, she would help strengthen the overall cooperation between the two countries.
During the conversation, both parties emphasized their determination to establish and develop cooperation in various defence fields, mainly military-economic, military-educational and military-medical, as well as in the field of military sports.
