Meeting with NATO Defense College Commandant



The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, received Lieutenant General Max Nielsen, NATO Defense College Commandant, Rome, who is leading a delegation comprising members of this educational institution’s Senior Course on their visit to our country.
  At the meeting, professional development opportunities offered by the Defense College were discussed, as well as the effects of cooperation so far. Views were also exchanged on the current security situation in the region and the world and the changes in the modern armed conflicts physiognomy.
According to General Mojsilović, this cooperation is mutually beneficial, both for knowledge acquisition and the exchange of experiences among members of the armed forces, as well as for overall relations and mutual understanding.
  As part of his three-day visit to our country, General Nielsen attended panel discussions hosted by the Defence University with the NATO Defense College’s Senior Course members on the participation of the Republic of Serbia in the Partnership for Peace Programme and the European Union's Common Security and Defence Policy, the relationship between Serbia and NATO, the Serbian Armed Forces’ capability development and deployments outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia, and global security issues and the implications they have for our region.
