December Intake of Soldiers Doing Voluntary Military Service

Today, units of the Serbian Armed Forces in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac received a new intake of soldiers who will do their voluntary military service.
Upon their arrival in the barracks, the soldiers underwent obligatory examinations, borrowed arms and equipment, and then they were assigned to their units, where their commanders informed them about the rights, obligations and tasks during their military service.

In the next month and a half, they will receive training in basic training centres on how to handle personal weapons, perform basic tactical actions and procedures in combat, carry out guard duty, and they will also improve their physical fitness.

After this phase, individual specialist training will ensue that will prepare the soldiers for duties within their branches, or services, and they will then spend the second period of their military service in Serbian Armed Forces units where they will undergo training for the execution of collective tasks.

During their voluntary military service the soldiers may apply to be admitted to professional military service, after which they will undergo a stipulated procedure and meet the conditions to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces immediately after the completion of their voluntary military service.
