Candidates for Special Units Take Oath
Today, the candidates for the admission into Serbian Armed Forces special units in line with Project 5000, who had not served military service under arms, took their military oath.
At a celebration held in the barracks “Vojvoda Živojin Mišić” in Valjevo, they obliged themselves in front of the flag of the Republic of Serbia to protect and defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
The candidates took their oath following the successful completion of basic military training, and now they are to undergo an intensive selective training.
Those who successfully pass all phases of selection will get an opportunity to be admitted to professional military service in 72nd Special Operations Brigade or Military Police special operations detachment “Kobre”. In the special units of the Serbian Armed Forces, they will receive further training and professional advancement for the execution of complex and physically and psychologically challenging tasks, with the use of the best arms and military equipment.
Commander of the Training Command Major General Željko Petrović attended the celebration in the barracks in Valjevo, together with representatives of Serbian Armed Forces units, religious communities and local self-government, and families, relatives and friends of the candidates.
