Meeting with Special Envoy of United Kingdom
Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović met Special Envoy of the United Kingdom for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
At the meeting, in the presence of Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Serbia Edward Ferguson, the interlocutors exchanged views and positions on the current security situation in the region and world, with the focus on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
General Mojsilović particularly pointed out that the Republic of Serbia consistently adheres to the Military Technical Agreement and that it, in line with the Resolution 1244 of the United Nations Security Council and all signed agreements, considers KFOR to be the only guarantor of security of the Serbian population, and of protection of our national cultural and historical and religious heritage in the area of Kosovo and Metohija.
In that respect, he expressed his expectation that the international security forces in the Province would fulfil their mandate fully and impartially, and react at every attempt to threaten the security of citizens.
During his stay in Serbia, Lord Stuart Peach was received by the president of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić, and he had separate meetings with Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić.
