Regular Training of Members of 63rd Parachute Brigade
Members of 63rd Parachute Brigade continuously carry out diverse training, both in the area of their station, and out of their peacetime location, all for the purpose of maintaining a high level of the unit combat readiness to execute special combat activities and operations of particular importance.
Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović attended one of the training segments held today at the military airfield “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” in Niš.
On that occasion, he gained a first-hand insight into the realisation of preparations for the performance of parachute jumps and close combat training, thus making sure of excellent competence of professional members to perform air medical evacuation of injured, and combat evacuation of parachute teams.
This training required the active involvement of professional soldiers admitted to this unit early in August in line with the Project 5000, and the level of expert and specialist competence that they have achieved confirms the quality of preparations and organisation of the training designed in such a way to enable them in real time to achieve high standards set for this elite unit of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Complex training is carried out throughout the year in 63rd Parachute Brigade and it is executed in all weather conditions and on all terrains, which ensures supreme competence and psychophysical preparedness of the Brigade members, and it also enhances the overall combat readiness of the unit.
