Training on Armoured Fighting Vehicles “Lazar 3”
The Third Army Brigade Infantry Battalion armed with armoured fighting vehicles “Lazar 3” are currently carrying out collective training for the execution of combat actions in defensive and offensive operations.
The training is being held at training ground in the area of peacetime location of the unit with a view to maintaining and advancing the competence of battalion members to use this modern armoured vehicle in combat. Furthermore, the aim is to train the professional soldiers who have been assigned to this units in the previous period.
In keeping with training programme, “Lazar” crews and on-board firing detachments are practising at the training grounds the tactical actions and procedures necessary for efficient execution of combat tasks within Army operations. During the training, they will enhance previously acquired knowledge about the vehicle systems and subsystems, armament and the maintenance of this combat asset.
In the following stage, they will be expected to carry out tactical exercises and live firing in winter conditions, which will be yet another opportunity to practically test the results of the intensive training that they have been undergoing.
A continued conduct of numerous exercise activities and practical training on the armoured fighting vehicle “Lazar 3” ensures a high level of combat readiness of the infantry battalion. Concurrently, the confidence of the crews is increased in the reliability and efficiency of this asset, the introduction of which has improved the mobility, fire power and protection of infantry units while executing combat actions.
