Central Logistics Base Day celebration
A military ceremony was held in Belgrade today to mark the Central Logistic Base Day, which commemorates November 16, 1992, when the 608th Rear Base was formed, whose traditions are continued by this unit of the Serbian Armed Forces.
At the ceremony held in the Central Logistics Base HQ, messages of congratulation were read, main accomplishments regarding the development of the unit's capabilities were presented, awards were handed to the most deserving individuals, and letters of thanks were given to the institutions with which the Central Logistics Base has had good cooperation over the past period.The summary of past year’s results highlighted the modernization of assets and the improvement of the conditions for the preservation and maintenance of troop and non-troop reserves, which, along with the proven competence and commitment of the professional staff, contributed to the fulfilment of the unit's mission and the successful execution of logistical tasks in support of commands, units and institutions of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The ceremony hosted by this largest logistics unit of the Serbian Armed Forces included the performances of the Military Grammar School student choir and the Military Academy cadets’ drama club.
