State Secretary Starović meets with Ethiopian State Minister of Defence Martha Luigi
State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nemanja Starović met today with State Minister of Defense of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Marta Luigi, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
State Secretary Starović and State Minister Luigi discussed the possibilities for defence cooperation and its development, which would help strengthen relations between Serbia and Ethiopia.He said that Serbia champions the preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty, compliance with international law, preservation of peace and stability, as well as strengthening relations with other countries based on equality and mutual respect.
State Secretary Starović expressed his gratitude to Ethiopia for its principled and consistent position of not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called “Kosovo” and for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
According to State Minister Luigi, the relations between Serbia and Ethiopia are long-standing and friendly, and Ethiopia is determined to preserve and constantly improve them. She agreed that cooperation should be established in areas of mutual interest, and said that Ethiopia would continue to support Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
