SAF team returns from EU military operation
A SAF medical team that was deployed with the EU Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM RCA) since April, has returned to Serbia after successfully completing its deployment.
Over the past six months, our team successfully performed all tasks involving the provision of preventive care and treatment of the injured and ill personnel in the mission, thus demonstrating the professionalism and competence of the Serbian Armed Forces’ medical personnel.
SAF doctors and medical technicians who were deployed to the area of operation in early October will be performing the same tasks in this African country over the next six months.
The Serbian Armed Forces started contributing to the EU mission in the Central African Republic in 2016. Our contingent in this military operation consists of a staff officer serving as head of the medical service and a six-member medical team responsible for providing preventive care and outpatient treatment to members of international peacekeeping forces.
By participating in both UN and EU peacekeeping operations, the Serbian Armed Forces do not only help build and safeguard peace in the world, but they also actively contribute to strengthening the foreign policy position of our country.
