Tank crews training
Intensive collective training for professional service members in carrying out tasks on SAF operations in accordance with the purpose of these units is underway in the Army tank battalions.
The training is conducted in the areas of deployment, on the training grounds and exercise areas of the Serbian Armed Forces, with the aim of maintaining and improving the tank crews' skills in using the M-84 tank in combat and carrying out armoured and anti-armour actions on combat operations.During the exercise activities, tank crews are practicing tactical procedures for carrying out offensive and defensive combat actions and are undergoing practical training in driving a tank safely on different types of terrain, using weapons effectively and performing maintenance of the assemblies and subsystems of this complex combat vehicle.
During the next training stages, tank crews will be conducting familiarization fire and range practice, followed by tactical exercises and live fire drills, where they will demonstrate their skills in performing the most complex tasks of tank units in winter conditions.
Continuous training conducted in tank battalions helps all crews meet the required training standards, which results in a high level of combat readiness of these units, which are the main maneuvering and striking force on operations conducted by the Serbian Armed Forces.
