Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces at 66th International Belgrade Book Fair
Media Centre “Odbrana” of the Public Relations Department, Ministry of Defence, will present its publications to the readership at the 66th International Belgrade Book Fair, where new titles, authors, promotions and panels traditionally await the fans and admirers of military literature and cultural, historical and social topics.
In addition to military literature, intended for a specific target audience, there will be a number of interesting titles for a wider readership under the slogan "Power of tradition" at the stand of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair until October 29. Media Centre "Obrana" annually publishes more than 100 titles belonging to different book series, and during the Book Fair, 38 books will be promoted and discussed by publishing house representatives, authors and reviewers.Among more than 400 domestic and foreign exhibitors, the only publisher in the defence system has prepared a thematically diverse book fair offer that includes military literature, historical works, non-fiction, books about geopolitics, military technology, military health, art, as well as textbooks for students of the Defence University.
This year, Media Centre “Odbrana” has decided to use the slogan “Power of Tradition”, due to the fact that this year, military establishments celebrate three important anniversaries: 125 years of the Military Printing House, Public Relations Department, Ministry of Defence, 75 years of the Military Film Centre “Zastava Film” and 70 years of the Central Military Club’s Grand Gallery, the gathering place for the capital’s art fans.In addition to the programme dedicated to the establishments celebrating their anniversaries, in accordance with past practice, the Defence University and the Defence Obligations Department will present themselves at the Book Fair as part of the promotion of parts of the defence system.
