Celebration of 63rd Parachute Brigade and Military Paratroopers’ Day
A military ceremony to mark the 63rd Parachute Brigade and Military Paratroopers’ Day was held at the military airfield “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović“ in Niš today.

The ceremony ended by laying wreaths at the memorial to the fallen brigade members and a jump performed by paratroopers carrying the flags of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian Armed Forces and the 63rd Parachute Brigade.

Members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade celebrated today the unit’s feast day – the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God, which has been celebrated by this unit since 2002.
The 63rd Parachute Brigade and Military Paratroopers’ Day is celebrated in memory of October 14, 1944, when the First Parachute Battalion of the People’s Liberation Army of Yugoslavia was formed at the military base near Bari, Italy.
