International advanced first aid training course

International advanced first aid training course for members of foreign armed forces is underway at the Logistics Training Centre in Niš.
The course participants are doctors, paramedics and medical technicians from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece and Montenegro, whose primary duties at their permanent posts do not include providing emergency medical care.

The training, which lasts for several weeks, is conducted in specialized labs and in the field, where the participants have theory classes and practical lessons in providing care to the injured at the scene of an accident in peacetime and war and after natural disasters.

The training is being delivered by instructors from the Centre’s Medical Service Training Company, in cooperation with specialist doctors from the Niš Military Hospital. The programme includes primary care services ranging from the initial assessment, triage, getting the injured to a safe zone, examining the patient against a checklist and administering first aid, to evacuation by land and air.
This course, along with other forms of training that the Logistics Training Centre offers to foreign armed forces’ logisticians testifies to the quality of instructors and training in the Serbian Armed Forces’ units and contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations with partner countries.
