Tactical Live-Fire Exercise “Winner 2023”



Members of the 4th Army Brigade, supported by the Air Force and Air Defence and the Ministry of the Interior units, have conducted Live-Fire Tactical Exercise “Winner 2023” at the training ground “Pasuljanske Livade”.
  The exercise focused on an augmented tactical group’s offensive operation transforming into a counter-insurgency operation, while some of the crucial segments were executed in simulated combat in an urban environment, in cooperation with the Air Force and Gendarmerie units.
 
Special attention was given to intelligence data collection and processing using newly introduced equipment, force protection, control of the territory and continuous logistical support provided to the units in the area of operation.
  Tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, anti-tank missile systems, artillery weapons, anti-aircraft missile systems, unmanned aircraft, multi-sensor reconnaissance systems and modern light weapons were actively used in the execution of tasks.

The 10-day exercise included firing with different artillery, AD artillery-missile, armoured and infantry weapons, and the personnel conducting the exercise demonstrated a high level of competence to carry out tactical and fire missions.
By conducting this exercise, which ends this cycle of intensive training, the command staff and units have improved their skills and competence to carry out tactical and fire missions during the preparation and execution of combat operations.

The finale of the exercise was attended by Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, Head of the Operations Directorate (J-3, SAF General Staff) Major General Tiosav Janković, and Head of the Training and Doctrine Directorate (J-7, SAF General Staff) Brigadier General Muharem Fazlić.
