International Course on Detection of Toxic Chemicals at CBRN Centre

A Course on the Detection and Identification of Toxic Chemicals and Industrial Toxic Chemicals was held this week at the CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac, and was attended by members of the armed forces from nine countries.
During the five-day training, participants from Algeria, Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Egypt, Italy, North Macedonia, the United States and Turkey had the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of toxic chemicals, to learn how to use devices for detecting contaminated materials and how to provide first aid for poisoning.

The training, which was conducted by certified CBRN Training Centre instructors, involved the use of devices and equipment owned by the Serbian Armed Forces. The focus was on carrying out toxicological analyses of water, heavy metal salts and chemically contaminated samples using a laboratory for detecting and identifying toxic chemical substances.
The fact that the armed forces of partner countries show great interest in international courses held at the CBRN Training Centre testifies to their quality and the expertise of SAF instructors in CBRN field. At the same time, these courses help the unit strengthen its status as a regional and partner education and training centre.
