Meeting with Adjutant General of Ohio National Guard
President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić today met with Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard, Major General John Harris.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, President Vučić emphasized that Serbia is committed to strengthening overall relations with the United States, which is greatly facilitated by long-lasting and successful cooperation with the Ohio National Guard.
As part of the State Partnership Program, numerous defence cooperation projects have been started or completed, as well as economic and business cooperation projects, President Vučić said.
According to President Vučić, the continued intensification of economic cooperation between Serbia and the United States is driven by a greater influx of investment coming from American companies, a growing trade in goods, and services in particular, as well as by considerable financial support through different development aid programs. Also, President Vučić said, the USA is one of the leading foreign investors in the Republic of Serbia.
Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard, Major General John Harris, said that the Ohio-Serbia partnership is one of the ways in which the USA shows its commitment to cooperation with our country and proposed concrete ways to enhance the cooperation.
